OTWorld is one of tthe world’s major trade fairs for prostheticians / orthotists, attracting every two years tens of thousands visitors and hosting hundreds of orthopedic and prosthetic companies. All major players in the field gather every two years in Leipzig, Germany. This year’s OTWorld takes place on May 13th to 16th, 2014.
OTWorld is actually more than a fair trade, hosting every year a parallel scientific conference, mostly oriented to the clinical world. I personally consider this as a great opportunity for us, the engineers, to interact with the “real world” out there in the hospitals.
We are therefore proud to announce a symposium on pattern matching, organised by Merkur Alimusaj and myself. The symposium will host talks, among others, by Oskar Aszmann, Mike Wininger and Dario Farina. The symposium is called Control interface in upper extremity prosthetics: State of the art and beyond the state of the art! – click to get an overview.
See you in Leipzig,
